What To Read Before You Venture Into The Dark Side

DC Comics made the major mistake of bad marketing in this event. They had the horrendous and pathetic lead in ie Countdown To Final Crisis (which was hardly referenced by the main story) and numerous other worthless tie ins (about 80 books in total including Arena etc). This probably dissuaded a lot of readers from buying the main title and also gave negative pre-release publicity to the event. In my Opinion, Final Crisis was a success as it was DC Comics Top Seller every month it released. Grant is DC Comics top seller (Final Crisis, Batman and All Star Superman), in terms of sales and critical appreciation (That does not include Spike TV awards.)

So Here are the books you could read before reading Final Crisis that have relevance both thematically and story wise. I have included the cover art, very cool work !

2. 52 Vol. 1,2,3,4





3. Seven Soldiers Vol. 1,2,3,4
