The Definition Of A Crisis

According to me personally , a Crisis isn't about a reality changing punch etc
Its about the Multiverse and its importance (shown in Superman Beyond & Final Crisis #7) , its also about the Role Of a Monitor in the Multiverse . A Crisis does not necessarily have to change continuity altogether, It does not have to kill 1000 characters, no need to destroy Billions Of People. Its a story Of the Heroes and why we love them and read comics. Check out some brief analysis below.

Crisis on Infinite Earths - Monitor vs Anti-Monitor

OK, I have read this story multiple times and we all know its point was to refine continuity which it did with a Big Reboot. The story was O 2 Cosmic beings battling with out heroes as the minor players until The End.

Infinite Crisis - The 4 Survivors of the Crisis trying to change the Multiverse , for various means

Now, This was a story of The survivors of the previous Crisis. That's a direct tie to the previous Crisis. It also featured the return of the Multiverse (this happened in hindsight though). It had a Million Tie Ins, but it still was a very good series.

Final Crisis - The Dark Monitor & Darkseid vs All of Existence

Final Crisis is so much more than the above , its the story of Darkseid , The last surviving New God , taking his final revenge by attempting to create the 5th world and re-write the Universe in his eyes , this was probably the greatest and most Scary takeover by any entity on earth in my opinion .

Yeah, sure Darkseid did not punch a reality wall. He used a Mathematical Equation and over-ran the Earth and all of its heroes before he even rose back into a body. His followers annihilated The Big Seven and made the others cower in The Darkness under the fear Of The Night-Lords Wrath.

Think Of It Like this, Crisis On Infinite Earths is one story told in 12 Parts, Infinite Crisis is one story in 7 Parts. Final Crisis was Two Stories told in 12 Issues which were more epic than the above. The end of Jack Kirby's New Gods in modern continuity and the End Of The Monitor concept.

Final Crisis had things in common with the First Crisis, the whole monitor concept and idea  from there.
I agree that Mandrakk didn't play a Major role , but if you see the state of the multiverse in superman beyond , you'll appreciate his role a bit more , if you read just Final Crisis #1-#7 Its difficult to understand him.
